Soon, people can reserve tickets in the Vayu Vajra buses in BMTC. The transport department is developing an application to this effect. The step has been taken as there is a considerable drop in people taking the Vayu Vajra buses.

The drop in the number of people taking the bus can be attributed to people taking the cab and most of them taking the metro to airports and workplaces respectively.

Many cab services are seen giving offers to people who want to travel to the airport. Now even BMTC is following the suit and is all set to give its commuters a discount on booking the ticket prior to the travel.

Now that lakhs of people use the metro  for daily travel, the BMTC needs to have feeder services to the metro station, making sure that enough people travel on the bus at least to catch the metro train.

This is another chance to the BMTC to cut down on  the old and those buses on the verge of breaking down. Even this will reduce traffic in Bengaluru considerably.
