In a shocking case, a husband who took his newlywed wife on a bike ride and returned with her dead body in Yadgir.

Ashwini's parents decided that Sabanna was the best pair for their daughter and got her married to him at a grand wedding, six months ago. But in these six months, she was being pressurised to get more money from home.

The couple after the wedding were living in Bengaluru, where Sabanna was working. Sabanna took Ashwini to Yaragol in Yadgir, to his native place on Saturday.

After reaching Yaragol, he took his wife on a bike ride. With a hope that their married life was going to be alright, Ashwini went out with Sabanna.

After the bike reached a spot where there were no people moving around, Sabanna is alleged to have thrown Ashwini down from the bike.

Ashwini suffered severe injuries and was dead when her body was retrieved. Currently the police have taken Sabanna to custody.

There are allegations that he was demanding Ashwini to get more dowry from home. A case in this regard has been filed at the Yadgir Rural Police Station and the police are interrogating Sabanna for further clues on the death of Ashwini.
