The New Mission Road caved in by 10 ft due to digging  The locals allege that the building owner did not take any precaution before digging A month ago, the road had collapsed and the building owner had assured he would take the necessary action      

The New Mission Road had caved in by 10 feet due to digging for foundation by 10 to 15 feet putting the road users in threat. The local residents here alleged that the building owner did not take any precaution before digging for foundation. In fact, it was not the first time that the people in the area were witnessing sinking of road. But this was for the third time that the road had caved in. A month ago the road had collapsed and the building owner had assured he would take the necessary safety measures. But he failed to do so, reports Kannada Prabha.

BBMP engineer Markandeya said the builder has taken permission for constructing a 11-storey building and fortunately the foundation work has just started.
