Man is mistaken for a child abductor and beaten by the townsfolk

With several cases of children abduction and child trafficking being reported in Karnataka, people are becoming an alert bunch. But sometimes, they tend to go overboard with their vigilance. A man named John was tied to a tree and beaten at the Kundooru Mutt in Channarayapatna after he was mistaken as a child abductor. It was later revealed that he arrived at the mutt to drop a few children off.
