Karnataka Budget 2018: The goodies that Bengaluru has bagged

Here are the highlights of Karnataka Budget 2018, presented by CM Siddaramaiah This is Siddaramaiah's 13th Budget and the last one for this term Here is what Bengaluru has got in the current Budget

• Bengaluru to get 200 MLD water by 2021 everyday
• New heavy vehicle driving training centres in Bengaluru and Dharwad
• Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to develop 100 km stretch road
• Shivajinagar Integrated Mobile Centre
• Swatantrapalya Development
• KC General Hospital renovation
• Multi-story parking at Gandhi Bazaar, Gandhi Nagar, Jayanagar 4th Block, Koramangala

• DPR for Metro Phase 3 for 105.55 km length line- Route J P Nagar to K R Puram via Hebbal, Toll Gate to Kadabagere, Gottigere to Basavapura, R K Hedge Nagar to Aerospace Park, Kogilu Cross to Rajanakunte, Bommasandra to Attibele and Ibaluru to Karmelram will be taken up
• New building for journalists in Bengaluru 
• Sericulture tourism on the Bengaluru-Mysuru corridor in collaboration with Central Silk Board.
• BBMP to improve and develop 88 lakes, to start work on 40 lakes
• Grade Separator at 8 junctions in Bengaluru
• 250 km stretch footpath
• 14 roads leading to ITPL to be developed
• 5000  houses to be constructed in Kempegowda Layout
• White Tapping on 150 km stretch of road
• Major Canal Development on the 150 km stretch of land
• Development of 110 new villages, which recently came under the BBMP purview
• Rs 50 crore allocation for development of Bellandur Lake
• Water purification Unit at a cost of Rs 937 crore
