As officials of Parappana Agrahara bent every rule possible in the Prisons Manual to extend special privileges to jailed AIADMK leader Sasikala Natarajan in the central prisons, more such damning details are stumbling out.

Shockingly, Sasikala is not only enjoying her 'comfortable' stay at the prisons but also has the luxury of meeting her relatives and supporters, like no other prison inmates - perhaps - have. Check this. In the last 117 days, 82 persons have come to meet 'Chinnamma' in 32 times!

These details have been brought to light after an RTI query filed by T Narasimha Murthy. According to the RTI response, as per the prison manual, convicts are allowed to meet visitors once in 15 days. But in Sasikala's case, the officials have thrown rules to the wind and allowed visitors to meet Sasikala at least twice or thrice in a week (as the data suggests), reports Kannada Prabha. Not just that, visitors' time is strictly from 11 am to 5 pm, but in Sasikala's case this rule was never followed, reports Kannada Prabha. There have been instances where the visitors have spent beyond their stipulated time meeting Sasikala!

On March 6, Sasikala's friends Gokula Indira, Saraswathi and others met her on March 6 for over 45 minutes. Later, again on March 8, Sasikala's brother TTV Dinakaran too met her and spoke to 45 minutes. The officials have again allowed Sasikala to meet AIADMK party secretary Tambi Dorai again on March 13 (within five days) and again on March 18, Sasikala met advocate A Ashokan, as per the RTI details, reports Kannada Prabha. The prison authorities have allowed Sasikala's friends Swaminathan and Jamailuddin on April 3. There are details of other visitors meeting Sasikala in the RTI.

Not just Sasikala, similar luxury was also extended to Sasikala's kin Ilavarasi and Sudhakaran who are also in the jail. Sasikala is serving imprisonment for guilty in disproportionate assets case since February at Parappana Agrahara.
