
Preparations are in full swing for the Dasara which will begin next week. On Friday the golden thrown was assembled. The thrown that is dismantled after Dasara and kept at a safe in the Palace was brought out under strict police security.
The Gejjagalli Veerashaiva family, who are the traditional assembling persons, were summoned and in the presence of Pramoda Devi and palace officials the thrown was assembled, reported Kannada Prabha.
Earlier in the morning, Navagraha Homa, Shanthi Homa and other ritualistic poojas were held. At 9.45 am the assembling began. The golden thrown will be open for public viewing from September 21 to 28. On September 29 and 30 for Ayudha Pooja and Vijayadashami celebrations public will not be allowed into the Palace.
Yaduveera Wadiyar said since we have received abundant rain this year he would pray for peace and prosperity. His wife Thrishika Kumari Wadiyar will be conducting the ritualistic Poojas this year.
