The Goa State Agriculture Minister Vijay Sardesai has stated that he will not permit Lambanis to illegally sell fish in retail at the wholesale fish market. A media report had questioned the government if it can stop the illegal sale of fish in at the Goa wholesale fish market. Responding to this the Minister had tweeted that “challenge accepted. Will ban Lambanis from selling fish in retail.” Goa Fisheries Minister Vinod Palyekar has supported this statement. “There is no provision for selling fish in retail at the wholesale market.
