The SIT which is probing the death of Gauri Lankesh's murder had released three sketches of the accused on October 14, after more than one month of her killing, has led to heated debates over the tilak on one of the suspect's forehead.

Journalist, activist Gauri Lankesh was shot dead in front of her house in Rajarajeswari Nagar in Bengaluru on September 5. SIT has now released the sketches of three persons suspected to be her killers. One of the photos had tilak on his forehead and led to arguments.

One of the faces in the sketches resembled Tumakuru BJP leader Suresh Kumar's close aide. However, Prabhakar gave a clarification that he is not connected with the Gauri Lankesh's case.

But the tilak drawn on the sketch made people troll SIT, and heated arguments were exchanged on the social media.

However, this came to an end when SIT clarified that the sketches had been made according to the information provided by victim Gauri's mother.
