Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's elder sister Chikamma breathed her last at a private hospital in Mysuru on Sunday. Chikkamma was 90.

Chikkamma was suffering from age related issues and was being treated at Vikram Hospital, Mysuru, it is reported. It may be recalled here that Siddaramaiah had recently visited his sister in the hospital when he was in Mysuru.

Siddaramaiah has cancelled all his official programmes and will be travelling to Devegowdana Hundi near Mysuru to take part in the final rites of Chikkamma. In last July, Siddaramaiah had lost his elder son Rakesh Siddaramaiah. Rakesh had died of multiple organ failure at Antwerp University Hospital, Belgium.
