No escape from rain fury for Bengalureans as Met department predicts four more days of shower

There seems to be no let-up in the rain for Bengalureans as the Indian Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain accompanied by the thunderstorm in South Interior Karnataka.

The state capital is witnessing moderate to heavy rain for the past 45 days throwing normal life out of gear. So far, at least 13 people have died due to heavy rain in Bengaluru this year. 

According to Weather department, Bengaluru will receive heavy rain until October 18 as there is a depression in the Arabian sea, reports Kannada Prabha quoting Meteorological Department director Sundar Metri.

In fact, the monsoon has extended up to October this time and going by the weather conditions; there seems to be no escape for Bengaureans for another four days.

Not just Bengaluru, heavy rains will also continue in Bengaluru rural areas, Ramanagar, Kolar, Chikaballapur and other interior places.

In August, Bengaluru had received 128.7 mm of rainfall which makes it the highest in a day since 1890. The highest ever rainfall that the city received was on August 27, 1890.
