100 sheep die after consuming rice left over from CM Siddaramaiah’s programme

As many as 100 sheep died after allegedly consuming spoilt rice left over from the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s programme at Koppala Recently Siddaramaiah had arrived in Koppala to inaugurate various development projects After the programme, the leftover food was thrown in the field The sheep which for grazing ate the food, which was by then spoilt

As many as 100 sheep died after allegedly consuming spoilt rice left over from the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s programme at Koppala, reported Kannada Prabha.

Recently Siddaramaiah had arrived in Koppala to inaugurate various development projects. On the occasion food was prepared for the guests. After the programme, the leftover food was thrown in the field.  The sheep which for grazing ate the food, which was by then spoilt.  Around 50 sheep belonging to Sonna Pujara, 30 sheep belonging to Annappa Pujara and 20 sheep belonging to Phakirappa, all of Shiragaon, died.

The deputy director of Animal Husbandry Department, Koppala,  Dr Shivanna has confirmed that the sheep died due to food poisoning.
