MES college student commits suicide on house terrace in Bengaluru's Rajajinagar

Synopsis

A young woman was found dead after hanging herself on the terrace of her house near Rajajinagar Ram Mandir, Bengaluru. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning. Police are investigating the case, and the reason behind the suicide remains unknown. Residents are in shock.

Bengaluru: A 19-year-old college student was found dead after she allegedly hanged herself on the terrace of her house near Rajajinagar Ram Mandir on Wednesday morning.  

The deceased has been identified as Priyanka, a second-year B.Com student at MES College. The tragic incident occurred early in the day and shocked the neighbourhood.  According to initial reports, Priyanka went to the terrace of her house and took an extreme step. The reason behind her decision remains unclear, but it is suspected that she had been struggling with depression in recent times.

Upon receiving the information, the Rajajinagar police rushed to the scene and inspected the area. Authorities are conducting further investigations to determine the exact cause of her death.  

The incident has raised concerns among residents and the community, with many expressing disbelief and sorrow over the young woman’s untimely demise.  

Two dead in tragic head-on collision between car and bike in Yadgiri

Yadgiri: In a tragic accident near Madriki village in Shahapur taluk of Yadgir district, two individuals lost their lives in a head-on collision between a car and a motorcycle. The incident took place when the car attempted to overtake another vehicle, resulting in a deadly crash.

The deceased have been identified as Halleppa, aged 45, and Mallaiah, 35. The two were on their way to tend to their land near Chikkamudavala village in Jewargi taluk. While returning home, their bike was struck by a car, leading to the fatal collision.

The impact was so severe that both men died on the spot. After the accident, the driver of the car fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle. The authorities have now registered a case at the police station.

The bodies of the victims have been sent for post-mortem examination, while investigations are ongoing to identify the car's driver and determine the cause of the accident.
