Wife abandons husband in airport post-honeymoon

The couple halted at the Indira Gandhi International Airport to board a flight to Lucknow. During the stop, the woman visited the washroom - handing over her purse and mobile to her husband. 

When she didn’t emerge from the washroom for a long time, the husband showed her picture to another woman coming out of the washroom and requested her to check on his wife, who was wearing a blue saree.

The other woman quickly informed the man there was no one inside the restroom matching the picture. 

When he sought the help of airport security, they checked CCTV footage of the area. The footage revealed the woman, wearing a blue saree enter the restroom at 6:14 pm and after three minutes - at 6: 17 pm - a burqa-clad lady is seen leaving the place.

According to the footage, the woman headed straight to the VIP parking area of the airport where she met an another man and both of them left in a taxi. The husband accepted that the body structure of the burqa woman was similar to that of his wife but he was not entirely confident.

The security officials first took it as a case of kidnapping but, as per reports, now believe that the lady deliberately abandoned her husband.

Although the Delhi police were called in, the husband is yet to file a formal complaint.
