West Bengal: Class 10, 12 board exams to be held in June

Synopsis

West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee said on Wednesday (December 23) that the secondary and higher secondary examinations will be held in June 2021.

Secondary and higher secondary examinations in West Bengal are postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic. Education Minister Partha Chatterjee said on Wednesday (December 23) that the two examinations will be held in June 2021.

The exams are usually held between February and March every year.

According to the state government, the Board of Secondary Education and the Parliament of Higher Secondary Education have sent a proposal to the state government to take the secondary and higher secondary examinations in June-July next year. The state government has agreed to the proposal, Education Minister Partha Chatterjee said.

All educational institutions, including schools and colleges, are closed due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The educational institutions are giving online classes to the students. As a result, the students of the state were worried about when the secondary and higher secondary examination will be held. 

Partha Chatterjee announced that the examination dates have been postponed and will take place in June 2021.
