West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankar on Wednesday (November 18) raised questions about Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress (TMC) government in the state.
Jagdeep Dhankar said, “You [CM Mamata Banerjee] must stop political violence and killings in the state. I will not tolerate this is the Governor of the state. I will not disappoint the state's citizens. I have nothing to do with politics.”
“What I mean is that aam aadmi gets the right to vote properly, that's it. God has given West Bengal everything," he added.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee responded to Governor Dhankar's claims on Wednesday itself.
Referring to the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections, she alleged, "Outsiders, goons are being brought to Bengal before elections to disturb the peace, do not fall for it."

Mamata Banerjee said while addressing state Governor Jagdeep Dhankar, “I am there with you all throughout the year. No need to worry. I've instructed police to ensure no one attacks you. Bengal is not a coward state.”
