WB Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar to spend a month in North Bengal

West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar will spend the entire month of November in the hills. This news was informed by Raj Bhavan on Wednesday (October 28). 

The governor will be in Darjeeling from November 1 to November 30. The reason for this month-long visit to North Bengal has not been announced yet. However, it has been reported that a press conference will be held in Siliguri in the month of November. Jagdeep Dhankar visited North Bengal several times but did not stay there for such a long time.

Speculation has started in the political arena surrounding the governor’s month-long visit to North Bengal. Political experts claim that the return of Bimal Gurung could change the political equation in the mountains. People are guessing that the governor's visit to Darjeeling is to understand the political equations.

Recently, the CPI(M) strongly criticized Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar for uploading pictures of ailing Buddhadeb Bhattacharya on social media. The name of the governor was included in various issues of West Bengal. Jagdeep Dhankar has repeatedly attacked Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee with his words. The governor was called a locust a few days ago, which caused a stir in the political arena. One of the posters has a locust written next to the governor's name. The poster even referred to him as a BJP supporter.
