Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader Eatela Rajender has resigned from his MLA post and the party's primary membership after being dropped from the K Chandrashekar Rao cabinet.
Rajender, MLA from the Huzurabad assembly constituency, made the announcement at a media briefing on Friday.
Rajender, who was handling the health portfolio, was booted out of the cabinet after allegations that he had illegally encroached upon the land for his Jamuna hatcheries at Masaipet village in Medak district.
There is speculation that Rajender may join BJP. This after he met BJP president JP Nadda, Telangana in-charge Tarun Chugh and state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar in New Delhi on Thursday.
Besides Rajender, there also rumours of former TRS MLA Anugu Ravinder Reddy and former Karimnagar Zilla Parishad chairperson Tula Uma joining the BJP on June 8.
