Malappuram: A picture of a fifth-semester BA English student went viral on social media, wherein she is seen standing on a tilted roof of her two-storey house, attending online classes. Namitha Narayanan had no other option in order to get good internet connectivity, so the young girl climbed on to the roof.
“We tried all places in my house, including verandas and roofs. And finally, I got fairly good signal strength on top of our two-storey house,” she was quoted as saying by The Hindu.
Namitha is a student of KMCT Arts and Science College, Kuttippuram, Malappuram.
She added that rain is not an issue, but thunder and lightning are. Like me, there are many students without good connectivity. Several of them are trying out different alternatives,” Namitha said.
After news of her plight went viral, officials of a private service provider came to her house at Areekkal, near Kottakkal, on Thursday morning and ensured that she got high-speed connectivity.
