Actor Swara Bhasker's Twitter post terming as 'bad photoshop' a photograph of alleged desecration of the Amar Jawan Jyoti memorial in Mumbai has triggered sharp outburst on the micro-blogging site.

A Twitter user had posted photos of two youth vandalizing the martyrs' memorial during the August 11, 2012 arson at Mumbai's Azad maidan.

The memorial was erected to honour Sepoy Sayyed Hussein and Sepoy Mangal Gadiya, who were martyred during the mutiny of 1857 against British rule.

The rioters seen in the photograph were then arrested by the special team of Mumbai Crime Branch and punished them according to the law.

MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar had then announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh to anyone who will provide the Mumbai police with credible information leading to the arrest of those involved in the desecration of the Amar Jawan Jyoti memorial.

Swara Bhaskar's ignorance, meanwhile, was spotted by Twitter users, including Rajeev Chandrasekhar.

The actor was forced to apologise later and delete her tweet.
