
BCCI president and former Team India captain Sourav Ganguly wanted to stay back in the hospital for one more day.
Earlier. Doctors treating Sourav Ganguly said that he will be discharged on Wednesday (January 6) and the second angioplasty, which he will have to undergo, could be performed a little later.

However, former Team India captain wished to stay in the hospital one more day and will be discharged on Thursday (January 7).
Sourav Ganguly was diagnosed with three blocked coronary arteries on Saturday (January 2), following which a stent was inserted in one to remove the blockage.

Hospital authorities said, “Doctors are keeping constant vigil on Sourav Ganguly’s health and taking appropriate measures from time to time. Ganguly will be discharged tomorrow as he wants to stay back one more day.”
Meanwhile, hospital authorities have set up a 'Sourav Ganguly lounge' to brief about his health condition to those who are visiting the medical establishment to meet him
