Sandalwood drug racket: Actress Ragini’s friend Ravishankar suspended from transport department

In further developments in the Sandalwood's drug consumption and circulation case probe, the transport department has suspended Ragini Dwivedi's friend and accused Ravishankar for his alleged role in the racket.
Cracking the whip on drug peddlers, now Karnataka Transport department has joined Bengaluru Police and suspended Ravishankar for his role of drug supply in Sandalwood.
The department, citing absenteeism for four days without intimation and bringing disrepute to the transport department by his actions, placed him under suspension.
Police had earlier claimed that based on the leads from last month’s raid in which they seized 204kg of marijuana, they tracked Ravishankar and arrested him.

Police, after a probe, found links with actress Ragini and also say they have digital evidence of close proximity between Ravishankar and the actress who was also arrested yesterday.
Ravishankar is said to have participated in “hi-fi” parties and allegedly used and supplied drugs.
