Police fire in air in Assam, one injured

A mob started pelting stones at police personnel posted at Baihata Chariali alleging a bus driver was beaten up by them, police said.
When the mob attacked the security men, police fired in the air to control the situation resulting in serious injuries to one person.
The injured man was admitted to a hospital, they said.
Locals put up road blockade in protest against the incident.
