
Mysuru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing the centenary convocation of the University of Mysore (UoM) through a video conference on Monday.
A statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on Saturday said the Karnataka governor, along with other dignitaries, would be present on the occasion with members of the syndicate and the academic council, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, statutory officers, district officers and students and parents set to witness the ceremony online.

Coincidentally, the University's 100th convocation will be held on the same date as its first, October 19. The first convocation was held on October 19, 1919.
Meanwhile, the University of Mysore on Friday said it will confer an honorary doctorate on Infosys Foundation chairperson and author Sudha Murthy during its centenary convocation, which will be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 19.
