Partha Chatterjee sacked from all ministries over SSC recruitment scam

Following his arrest in the case involving the school employment fraud, Partha Chatterjee, the leader of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), was dismissed from the Bengal cabinet. The decision was made during a Cabinet meeting presided over by Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of Bengal. He held three portfolios - Ministry for Industry, Commerce and Enterprise; Ministry for Information Technology and Electronics; Ministry for Parliamentary Affairs - in the Mamata cabinet. All three portfolios are now with the Chief Minister

After the 18-hour raid, officials from the central agency departed this second flat in Kolkata's Belgharia neighbourhood early this morning with 10 trunks of cash. According to sources, ED employees employed three note-counting devices.
