No place for outsiders who incite violence during polls: Mamata Banerjee

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday (November 26) said that there is no place for outsiders who come to the state during elections and incite violence. Slamming the BJP, Mamata said, "They are giving statements that vaccine will be given but don't know when. I say this place is not for outsiders. They only come here to do politics during elections."

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday (November 26) said that there is no place for outsiders who come to the state during elections and create violence.

Mamata Banerjee said at a press conference at Nabanna (State Secretariat), “There is no place for outsiders in Bengal. Those who come to the state only during elections and try to disturb peace of the state are not at all welcome.”

Assembly polls in West Bengal are due in April-May next year.

On Thursday (November 26), Mamata Banerjee announced Swasthya Sathi health scheme stating, "All the people are to be taken under Swasthya Sathi health scheme to avail the benefit for those who are not under any health scheme. It will be a smart card and per year Rs 5 lakh can be availed under this scheme as health cover. This will be universal from December 1."

The BJP and Trinamool Congress have engaged in sharp exchange of words recently, in the lead up to the state elections next year. At a rally on Wednesday, Banerjee had accused the BJP of trying to bribe Trinamool MLAs to come into its folds.
