NIA crackdown on terror funding continues, 6 NGOs raided

Synopsis

Six non-profit organisations and nine places, including the property of former Delhi Minority Commission chief Zafarul-Islam Khan were raided by the NIA.

The National Investiagtion Agency continued its raids in Bagh-e-mehtab and Nowgam areas of Srinagar in connection with the terror funding case. 

Six non-profit organisations and nine places, including the property of former Delhi Minority Commission chief Zafarul-Islam Khan were raided by the NIA.

The six NGOs that were raided include Falah-e-Aam Trust, Charity Alliance, Human Welfare Foundation, JK Yateem Foundation, Salvation Movement, and J&K Voice of Victims.

On Wednesday, the agency had conducted searches at 10 locations in Srinagar and Bandipora and at one location in Bengaluru in connection with the case. 

The office of Greater Kashmir newspaper and the residence of human rights activist Khurram Parvaiz in Sonwar were among the places raided by the agency.
