New Gujarat CM to be named today; Nitin Patel front runner

Reports from Gujarat suggest that the new state chief minister’s name is likely to be announced today.
Hectic activities were witnessed at BJP’s national president Amit Shah’s house in Thaltej. He has been made in charge to pick the new Gujarat Chief Minister after consultation of with BJP MLAs.
The state BJP leaders will attend a meeting with Shah today at the BJP headquarters and most likely the announcement would be made at around 4 pm, according to the state BJP president Vijay Rupani.
Rupani, however, refused to speculate on the probable names for the CMs post.
The BJP top leadership have remained tight-lipped about Anandiben Patel’s successor.
According to a Time of India report, rumours hint that Nitin Patel, Gujarat minister might be promoted to the post of CM.
