
A mobile camera was found in a ladies' toilet of Mangalore University, following which the video clippings and images captured by it have been sent to the Bengaluru Cyber Crime Branch for further investigation, the police said.
On August 24, the camera was spotted by a girl student in the hostel's toilet. Investigations revealed that two clippings of 15 and 30 minutes duration and images from the camera were transmitted on August 7 and 11, the police said.
The issue came to light when it came up for discussion at the university syndicate meeting on August 31.
Three students and some staff members have so far been questioned in connection with the case, police said, adding they waiting for the report from Bengaluru Cyber Crime cell, which is expected in a week's time.
