
After Suvendu Adhikari, TMC MLA Jitender Tiwari resigns from the party. He also resigned from the post of chairman of the administrative board of the Asansol Municipal Corporation.
Jitender Tiwari said, “I have submitted my resignation to the TMC chief. I have resigned from the post of chairman of the Board of Administrators of Asansol Municipal Corporation. I am not allowed to work at the party. Therefore, I thought of resigning.”

“There is no use of working in the TMC because I am not allowed to work for the people of the state,” he added.
Addressing the party workers on Thursday (December 17), Tiwari said, “We have been deprived of the benefits allotted by the Centre for the smart city project. We have also been deprived of the solid waste management system. Asansol has been deprived of many development works.”

Jitendra Tiwari is among several TMC leaders who have raised their voices against the party. He has also come out in support of Suvendu Adhikari.
It is speculated that the resignation of two prominent TMC leaders will weaken the base of the party.
