"We had ordered six burgers. My mother and children consumed four. Two burgers were remaining for my sister and me. When I opened the burger packet to eat, I saw a live worm. This is a matter related to health, and officials concerned should take action," she was quoted as saying.
As several attempts to raise the issue with the food joint did not yield results and she eventually filed a complaint.
ChicKing response:
Soon after the matter went viral in Mangaluru and coastal belt of Karnataka, manager of the outlet, was quoted as saying "Our chicken dishes are prepared at a temperature of 163 degree temperature. There is no chance of any live worm being found in our dishes. Food is packed only after cleaning up everything. Till date, we have not received any complaint of this sort. Still, we will give the customer fresh food and also return the money. We will speak to the customer on Sunday and resolve the issue."
