Kerala woman ‘gang-raped’ in Thiruvananthapuram: Husband, four others arrested

Synopsis

 Police said they will file another case against the arrested under the POCSO Act for abusing the woman in front of her son.  

Thiruvananthapuram: Kadinamkulam Police arrested five people for allegedly gang-raping a woman in the state's capital Thiruvananthapuram. The five include the victim's husband too.

Police arrested the gang after taking a statement from the victim. One more accused in the case is yet to be arrested

After she was force-fed alcohol, the woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by her husband and five other men.

Meanwhile, the police said they will file another case against the arrested under the POCSO Act for abusing the woman in front of her child.

It is reported that the husband had taken the woman and their child to the beach at Puthukurichi near Puthanthoppu. From there, the trio went to the husband's friend's house, where the alleged brutal incident occurred.

Police said that the woman ran out of the house and passers-by saw the victim and took her to hospital. They also alerted police, which helped them nab the accused.
