3.55 PM: Kerala will soon have two more IT parks, says CM Pinarayi Vijayan

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that his LDF government will open two more IT Parks in Kerala. He made the announcement while inaugurating the Infinity Centre of the Kerala Startup Mission in Dubai. “An IT corridor, connecting Thiruvananthapuram with Kollam, Ernakulam with Alappuzha and Koratty and Kozhikode with Kannur will be opened," he said. The process of land acquisition was underway.

1.12 PM: Kerala SFI gives clean chit to Nikhil Thomas in fake certificate controversy in MSM college

The Students' Federation of India (SFI) on Monday gave a clean chit to one of its leaders Nikhil Thomas, who was accused of submitting fake certificates for obtaining M.Com admission at MSM College in Kayamkulam. SFI state secretary PM Arsho on Monday verified all the certificates presented to him by Nikhil. 
After verifying it, Arsho declared that Nikhil is innocent as he has not been involved in any malpractice. "The equivalency certificate of Kalinga University submitted by Nikhil for securing M.Com admission is also authentic," he said.

12.50 PM: 'DySP intimidated to name KPCC chief's name in cheating case,' says fake antique dealer Monson Mavunkal in court

The fake antique dealer Monson Mavunkal on Monday alleged that he was intimidated by DySP Rastam to mention Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) chief K Sudhakaran's name in the cheating case. Mavunkal made the allegation when he was presented in court through video conference. In his allegations against DySP, Mavunkal claimed that the latter had threatened to kill his wife and children if he didn't name Sudhakaran. He also alleged that DySP pressurized him to drag Sudhakaran's name in the sexual abuse case against him. The Ernakulam Additional District Sessions Court directed Monsan's complaint to be conveyed to the court through the jail superintendent.

This year Kerala will celebrate Eid-Al-Adha (Bakrid) on June 29 (Thursday). The crescent moon that signals the beginning of the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah was not spotted in Kerala on Sunday. Kerala did not see the crescent moon on Sunday, which marks the start of the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah. As a result, Dhul Hijjah will officially begin on June 20 and end with Eid on June 29.
