Kerala News Highlights: The Ernakulam POCSO court found fake antique merchant Monson Mavunkal guilty of assaulting his former maid's daughter in 2019. After allegedly promising the young girl that he would take care of her studies, Monson sexually assaulted her.

The grey Langur or the Hanuman monkey has reportedly escaped the zoo compound walls again. The zoo authorities have initiated a detailed search of premises near Kuravankonam and Ambalamukku areas. The newly brought monkey had escaped on Tuesday and was later spotted within the premises of the zoo.

11.50 AM: Fake antique dealer Monson Mavunkal convicted in POCSO case

The Ernakulam POCSO court has found fake antique dealer Monson Mavunkal guilty of sexually abusing his former maid's daughter in 2019. Monson allegedly promised the kid that he would take care of her education, but then assaulted the girl. The complainant claimed that at the age of 17, her daughter had experienced sexual harassment. The victim claims that she kept quiet for a very long time out of fear.

K Vidya, the accused in the Maharaja's College certificate forgery case has been on the run for 12 days. The police expect that the accused is likely in North Kerala. Meanwhile, the Agali Police has informed the High Court that the collection of evidence in the forgery case has been completed.
