A fire broke out in a home appliance company located in Mannarkkad in Palakkad district today(Oct 25). The incident took place at Mullas Home Appliances in Chanthapadi, Mannarkkad

Palakkad: A fire broke out in a home appliance company located in Mannarkkad in Palakkad district today(Oct 25). The incident took place at Mullas Home Appliances in Chanthapadi, Mannarkkad. The fire began on the first floor of the two-story building. 

The incident happened around 7:30 a.m. when workers who were loading products near Mullas Home Appliances noticed flames and smoke coming from inside the shop. They promptly contacted the fire department and the police.

Firefighters, along with the police and local residents, quickly initiated efforts to extinguish the fire. Despite the presence of small businesses in the vicinity, they managed to bring the fire under control, preventing a major disaster. The fire was extinguished within two hours. The cause of the fire is unclear. According to the owner of the establishment, the damage is estimated to be around two crore rupees.

Meanwhile, a, man lost his life after being hit by a car on Willington Island in Kochi last night at 2 am. The deceased was identified as Vinay Mathew from Thiruvalla.The car was being driven by a customs officer named Pankajkumar Verma, and another customs officer, Anthareeksh Daga, was also in the car at the time of the accident. Both customs officers have been taken into custody by the police.
