Kerala BJP chief bribed tribal leader for moving votes from LDF to NDA in last elections?

Synopsis

Praseetha Azhikode made the sensational allegation at a press conference called after her WhatsApp conversation in this regard was leaked.

Kerala BJP state president K Surendran paid Rs 10 lakh to tribal leader and Janathipathya Rashtreeya Sabha president CK Janu to shift allegiance from LDF to NDA before the elections, the party's state treasurer Praseetha Azhikode has alleged.

Praseetha Azhikode made the sensational allegation at a press conference called after her WhatsApp conversation in this regard was leaked.

Praseetha claimed that Janu demanded Rs 10 crore to move from LDF to NDA, but got Rs 10 lakh at the conclusion of K Surendran's pre-election all-Kerala rally.

CK Janu, who denied the allegations, claimed she could directly approach Union Home Minister Amit Shah and doesn't need intermediaries.

Praseetha Azhikode said CK Janu was making money using the tribals and the party as a cover.

Meanwhile, CK Janu brushed the allegation aside.

"It is an effort to destroy my party and I will move legally," she said.
