Karnataka may resume PG, UG classes from November

Synopsis

By second week of November, the Karnataka government may allow all under graduate and post graduate educational institutions to reopen after a gap of 8 months. However, there are guidelines that the institutions will have to follow.   

Karnataka is likely to reopen higher educational institutions from second week of November. 

Sources in the Higher Education Department said that a detailed report on this subject has been been submitted by Higher Education commissioner. 

Department of Collegiate and Technical Education Commissioner is said to have prepared a report. 

Sources said that the concerned institutions have already been instructed about reopening. 

The institutions must follow Covid-19 protocols and ensure provisions for sanitation, thermal screening and mask. 

Deputy CM and Higher Education Minister Dr CN Ashwath Narayan has already sought clarity from experts and officials.
