Karnataka government transfers 20 IPS officers in a major reshuffle

The state government on August 3 transferred 20 IPS officers, three days after Kamal Pant took over as Bengaluru City Police Commissioner

Bengaluru: In a major reshuffle, the Karnataka government has transferred 17 IPS officers between the ranks of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) and Superintendent of Police (SP) and given them new postings.

The order was issued on Monday (August 3), two days after the appointment of Kamal Pant as the new Bengaluru City Police Commissioner.

Senior IPS officer Umesh Kumar, ADGP and Principal Secretary to Government (PCAS), home department, is transferred to CID, Economic Officenses and Roopa D, IGP Railways, has been transferred to IGP and secretary to Government (PCAS), home department.

Bengaluru North division DCP N Shashi Kumar has been transferred to SP (wireless) and Dharmender Kumar Meena SP (wireless) transferred to DCP North.

Rohini Katoch Sepat DCP (south) has been transferred to SP CID and Harish Pandey SP intelligence has been posted as DCP (South).

MN Anucheth DCP Whitefield has been transferred as DCP Central and D Devaraja, SP CID has been posted as DCP Whitefield.

B Ramesh DCP (West) has been transferred to SP CID and Sanjeev M Patil, SP intelligence, has been posted as DCP West division.

Iada Martin Marbaniang, SP Kalaburagi has been transferred as SP, Anti-Naxal Force, Karkala, Udupi, as the post was vacant.

Nikam Prakash Amrit SP, CID, has been posted as SP Raichur, Ilakkiya Karunagaran DCP, VVIP security, has been transferred as SP KGF as Mohammad Sujeetha MS, SP KGF has been transferred to DCP City Armed Reserve.

Dr Suman D Pennukar has been posted as Deputy Director, Karnataka Police Academy, Mysuru.

Simi Mariam George, Assistant IGP, Crime has been posted as SP, Kalaburgi, Dr CB Vedhamurthy, SP Raichur has been posted as SP, Intelligence.
