Synopsis

Congress’ candidate for RR Nagar assembly constituency by-election, has reacted to the statement of Shobha Karandlaje that anybody who uses the name of DK Ravi will not benefit from it.

Bengaluru: Late IAS officer DK Ravi’s wife, Kusuma Hanumantharayappa who is the Congress candidate for RR Nagar assembly constituency by-election, has reacted to the statement of JP leader Shobha Karandlaje.

Shobha Karandlaje recently made a statement that anybody who uses the name of DK Ravi will not benefit from it.

Responding to Shobha in a statement on her social media account, Kusuma stated “Dear sister, who did politics in my husband’s name? Who is continuing to do it? It is known to the whole country. On this occasion, I remember Akka Mahadevi’s words ‘only those who suffer agony know what it feels.’ You said that those using Ravi’s name will not benefit from it. It seems that you said this to yourself. Stand in front of the mirror and repeat your statement. The truth may reveal itself.”

State Congress leader Dinesh Gundu Rao has also strongly objected to the statement of Shobha Karandlaje.

In a tweet, the Congress leader has said that Shobha Karandlaje’s statement shows her mental inferiority.

Dinesh Gundu Rao added that Kusuma is the legal wife of DK Ravi, hence, she has the right to use her husband’s name as a wife. Being a woman, it is disgraceful for Shobha to make such a statement.
