A 45-year-old bar owner, Manish Shetty was shot dead by motorcycle-borne men in front of his establishment off Brigade Road on Thursday night. Police suspect Manish was associated with gangster Ravi Pujari.
Bengaluru: A bar owner in Bengaluru, Manish Shetty, was shot dead by unidentified assailants outside the establishment on Rest House Road in Bengaluru’s Central Business District.
According to Bengaluru Police, Manish Shetty was shot around 9pm under Cubbon Park police station limits.
The owner of the bar reportedly succumbed to his injuries at Mallya Hospital after the attack.
Manish Shetty, owner of Duet Bar, was standing outside his bar around 9pm when he was shot, DCP (central) M Anucheth said.

Police have suspect that a double-barrel gun was used in the incident. A case of murder has been registered in police station.
Police said that Manish Shetty was hacked on his head four times but was shot only once. The police suspect that Manish, who was associated with gangster Ravi Pujari, may have been targeted by his rivals.
Manish hailed from Koppa in Chikkamagaluru and has several cases registered against him in Dakshina Kannada district as well as in Mumbai, including an attempt to murder. Manish was also registered as a rowdy sheeter in Mangaluru.
The Cubbon Park police have formed a team to investigate the incident and are looking at CCTV footage from the neighbouring establishments to nab the assailants.
