Driver Rai confesses, says Indrani strangled Sheena Bora

Synopsis

According to a Times of India report, accused-turned-approver in the Sheena Bora murder case, Shyamvar Rai, in his statement, has claimed that the main accused Indrani Mukerjea had strangled Bora inside the car.    

 

Rai, who was working as Indrani’s driver at the time of the murder, and Indrani’s ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna on her instruction, had helped her in killing Bora. The murder was committed on April 24, 2014. 

 

The report says that Khanna held Sheena tightly and Rai covered her mouth.

 

Following the statement, the special CBI court today shared the driver’s statement with all the accused.

 

"Indrani madam Sheena Ke mandi par baith Ke Sheena ka gala daba rahi thi...Sheena ne jor se meri ungli Kat li. Meri ungli se khoon nikla. Indrani madam Sheena Ke muh Ke upar baith gayi (Indrani sat on top of Sheena and was strangling her. Sheena bit my finger. It was bleeding)..." the report highlights a portion of the statement in Hindi.



Rai has also added that after the crime was committed Indrani and Khanna were conversing in English which he was unable to understand. But in their conversation, he could find the mention of Mikhail (Indrani’s son) and Rahul (son of co-accused Peter Mukerjea).


in his statement, however, Rai has not made any allegations against Peter.

 

Recently Rai had turned approver in the case and has been allowed by the court to depose as a prosecution witness.
