An Indian content creator’s attempt to turn London’s bustling streets into a quick money-making spot took an unexpected turn after police and council officers stepped in over illegal street vending.
Vishnu Vijayadharan, a Kerala-based creator currently in London, shared a now-viral video documenting what he called a fun side-hustle experiment — selling instant Polaroid photographs to strangers in the city.
The video opened with Vijayadharan confidently walking toward the camera holding a Polaroid camera while pitching the idea behind the challenge.
“Let’s see how much money we can make by selling polaroid pictures in London,” he said.
He further explained that the camera had cost him £110 (around Rs 14,180) and could click 38 photographs at a time.
10 నిమిషాల్లో.. రూ.1,200 సంపాదించిన భారతీయుడు

To attract customers, Vijayadharan and his friends prepared a handwritten sign advertising “Polaroid pictures for £5.” Standing on a busy London street, the creator enthusiastically shouted, “Polaroid 5 pounds! 5 pound polaroid!” hoping to draw curious passersby.
Within minutes, the group reportedly found their first customer, who happily posed for a picture and seemed delighted with the instant print. Soon after, another customer approached, prompting Vijayadharan to jokingly admit that he had already started imagining they were about to make “millions.”
But the excitement was short-lived.
The next people to approach them were police and council officers, who informed the creator that selling items on the street without official permission was not allowed in Westminster.
“Okay guys, so we literally got caught by police in Westminster. Yikes!” Vijayadharan said in the video.
He added that he had no idea prior approval from the local council was required for such activity.
Despite the abrupt interruption, the creator claimed that with proper permissions, street photography vending in busy parts of London could potentially become a profitable side hustle. According to him, one could reportedly earn nearly £100 (around Rs 12,891) an hour in high-footfall areas.
In the end, however, Vijayadharan earned just £10 (approximately Rs 1,300) from the two customers he managed to photograph before authorities stepped in.
Sharing the clip online, he captioned it: “How much did we make in 10 minutes? Only try if your visa is expiring tomorrow hahahah.”
The video quickly sparked reactions across social media, with users flooding the comments section with jokes, curiosity, and questions over whether the creator had been fined after being stopped by officials.
