Bizzare! Bihar question paper describes Kashmir as a separate country

The question paper was set under the central government's flagship programme 'Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan'. The question paper read: "What are the people of the following countries called: China, Nepal, England, Kashmir and India". Bihar education department admit it to be an embarrassing mistake. 

In a question paper prepared for students of Class VII by the state education board of Bihar, Kashmir has been blatantly described as a separate country from India. The question reads, "What are the people of the following countries called: China, Nepal, England, Kashmir and India."

In fact, there was also a subhead, which read, "The people of Kashmir are called the......".

To the further embarrassment of central government, as reported by the Times of India, the question was part of a paper set under the government's flagship project 'Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan', which is overseen by the state education department.

Meanwhile, admitting the mistake was Prem Chandra, the Bihar Education Project Council state programme officer. He also said, "It was a printing error. But it's very embarrassing, I admit."
