The court determined that certified green crackers can be marketed and burst in regions with "excellent" or "moderate" air quality. A Supreme Court vacation bench issued the order. The panel considered two petitions that contested the Calcutta High Court's broad prohibition on firecrackers, including green crackers. Firecracker sellers filed the applications.
