Bizarre: Delhi man killed by kite string

A 28-year-old Delhi youth died on Friday when a kite string got entangled around in his neck and sliced his throat, the police said.

"The incident occured on Thakurdwara flyover, in the evening, when Delhi-based Mukesh Sharma was returning after a visit to Laal Kuan," SP Salman Taj Patil said.

"Sharma was riding his motorbike when the string got entangled around his neck and a major portion of his neck got sliced. Mukesh instantly bled to death," the senior police officer said.

The body is currently kept in a mortuary and the parents have been informed.

A case has been registered at GT Road police station under section 304-A of IPC, against an unknown person, he said.
