[Video] Could an Indian become the PM of Britain? Shashi Tharoor has the answer

Synopsis

Lok Sabha MP from Thiruvananthapuram Shashi Tharoor handles a diplomatic question with confidence in Oxford. "Can an Indian be a PM of Britain?" was answered with tact

A candid question, but with a deeper political meaning was handled with clarity by MP Shashi Tharoor when he went visiting Oxford last month. Handling the question diplomatically, he said that although this could be a possibility in the future, the present political and economic condition "does not have the elements" of such possibilities.

He draws the reference of United States and Barack Obama and explains further, "Two year before Barack Obama was elected, had we asked the question 'Could a black be the President of USA?', most of the people would have answered in the negative. However, things became possible. Likewise, given the massive presence of Indians in the British government, things may look up for Asians as well in the future.

The MP posted the conversation on his FB profile and Tweeted the same.
