Coronavirus:  Kerala Agriculture minister VS Sunil Kumar tests positive for COVID-19

VS Sunil Kumar is the third minister in the Pinarayi Vijayan Cabinet to have been infected by the viral disease.

Thiruvananthapuram: VS Sunil Kumar, agricultural minister has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Personal staff and those who came in direct contact with the minister have been directed to undergo quarantine.

Finance minister Thomas Isaac and Industries minister EP Jayarajan were earlier tested positive for coronavirus.

After recovering from coronavirus, Finance minister Thomas Isaac was discharged from hospital on September 16.

Kerala Industries minister EP Jayarajan and wife too had tested positive and were shifted to hospital.

The minister and wife were shifted to the Government Medical College Hospital at Pariyaram on September 11. According to sources, four of his office staff have been quarantined.
