Coming second in place after Delhi, it has now overtaken even one of the most highly populated cities in the country like Mumbai.
While Delhi stands number one with 2,18,304 cases on Sunday; The Karnataka capital, Bengaluru, has reported 1,70,662 cases till Sunday, September 13.
Mumbai also follows Bengaluru closely with 1,69,741 cases.
On Sunday Karnataka reported over 9,000 news cases in just a day for the 11th time on Sunday, September 13.
Based on the daily report given by the BBMP and the state government, the state saw 104 deaths in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 7,265.
