Congress leader and former KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao tested positive for COVID-19. The politician made the announcement on his Twitter handle on September 27.

Bengaluru: Congress leader and former Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president, Dinesh Gundu Rao tested positive for COVID-19 on September 27.

The politician made the announcement on his Twitter handle and stated that he will be quarantining himself for the next 10 days.

The former KPCC president has requested all his primary contacts to get tested and take all precautionary methods.

 

I have tested positive today. Therefore will be quarantining myself for 10 days.

I request all my primary contacts to get themselves checked and take necessary precaution.

Current KPCC president DK Shivakumar had also tested positive for COVID-19 in August.

DK Shivakumar was discharged after undergoing treatment for several days. The KPCC president was admitted twice after having complaints of fever even after recovering from COVID-19.

Earlier, chief minister Yediyurappa and a few other ministers, including another deputy chief minister CN Ashwath Narayan, home minister Basavaraj Bommai, forest minister Anand Singh, tourism minister CT Ravi and agriculture minister BC Patil, had tested positive for coronavirus and have recovered.
