Chennai saw the revelation of the drug racket after police arrested a food delivery agent and techies K Pugazh Jermain, 26, and V Arun, 25, who were supplying ganja on pretext of having food delivered at their doorstep.
The network was established through a WhatsApp group and only known source referral was encouraged before admission and delivery into their fold.
Cops who were aware of drug racket busts in neighbouring state Karnataka's capital Bengaluru, were alert and became suspicious after they saw a delivery agent receive parcels from the youths rather than giving it to them.
Upon inquiry they kept changing their statements. When they checked the parcel, they found packets of ganja.
Police then raided the house of one of the techies and seized 10.5kg ganja.
